Occasionally we take on commisioned fine furniture pieces.   These are the most prized and hard to make items. They are hand made and,because of the difficulty in production and specialist skills required, they can only be individually priced.. But this means that the customer''s imagination is his or hers own limit, and we can make anything that you need!

Here is the man in charge, Ian Spoor!!   He setup Shapes Woodworking twenty years ago and is still going strong. He enjoys the wonders of wood and loves nothing more than using his hands to make something. Here he is with a set of gothic double doors that were comissioned for a period house, the curved bars were machined on the spindle moulder and are a lot smaller than they look in the picture. There is a complex detail to these bars that is elegant, but not done justice in the photo!
